During my four years of study in Aberdeen I took up six placements including remote and rural working in Fort William, NHS Highland and Lerwick, NHS Shetland. Upon qualification from the Robert Gordon University In 2015 I took up my first post as a Paediatric Radiographer at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. In 2016 I then specialised in Paediatric Congenital Cardiac Angiography and Paediatric Interventional Radiology within Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

In November 2017 I took up my recent post within University Hospital Birmingham as a Cardiovascular Radiographer. Where I have built upon knowledge of Interventional Radiology within the Interventional Radiology Theatres and gained valuable experience in Coronary Angiography and the state of the art Hybrid Theatre. In addition to completing my mandatory training I have gained Immediate Life Support Accreditation and am working to complete a cannulation course in order to improve patient outcomes. Within my current role in the Cardiovascular Imaging Team I lead the Quality Assurance program ensuring the equipment is safe for use.
