Solihull Hospital

solihull-hospital-4Solihull Hospital is based near to Solihull town centre and provides a range of outpatient, inpatient (230+ beds) and emergency care services for its local community. It is also the regional centre for dermatology. A large portion of elective orthopaedic surgery takes place on this site. There is a postgraduate centre which also offers library services at this site.

The Radiology Department at Solihull Hospital has:

  • 120 slice CT scanner (CT Head & Neck scans provided by radiographers on site 24/7)
  • 1.5T MRI scanner (operational 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week)
  • Ultrasound
  • Mammography
  • Cardiology
  • Fluoroscopy
  • 1 Digital Radiography unit, 2 computerised radiography rooms and OPG
  • Mobiles and mobile c-arms
  • Bone Densitometry

Out of hours ED Radiography Arrangements:

  • 1 Radiographer 7.30pm – 8am
  • 1 Radiographer Noon – 8pm
  • 1 Radiographer 4pm – Midnight + on call from home for CT
  • 2 Radiographers 8am – 4pm
